David Blount has a positive, new vision for Mississippi and will work hard for us. David will support our local schools every year, will vote to cut the grocery tax to help middle class families, and has earned the endorsement of local law enforcement.
David has the experience to do the job. He has worked the past 13 years with the Senate and state officials as a top aide to Secretary of State Eric Clark. A preachers son and an 8th generation Mississippian, David shares our values of faith and family.
Senate District 29 contains Byram, Terry, and parts of Clinton and Jackson.
David and his wife, Katie, have two children, Susanna, 8, and Charley, 6. They are active in their church and in the PTA at the public school their children attend. David has thirteen years of experience working with the Legislature, most recently as a
top aide to Secretary of State Eric Clark. He has also been recognized as one of Mississippi's top young business leaders. David is currently the Vice President of Parents for Public Schools and serves on the State PTA Board.
